- ABOUT US -

The Live@Experience program brings together students, musicians, and industry professionals to organise, prepare and showcase live performances held at the School of Sound and Audio (SAE). The SAE houses all the equipment, utilities and space that Live@Experience requires to accommodate live staging. SAE South Melbourne, Australia is the pilot campus for Live@Experience scaling up to every global SAE campus with a venue room. A stage room at the SAE facilitates all aspects of staging a live performance; a backline for musicians consisting of microphones, drums, bass, guitar and keyboard amps, ceiling trusses for lighting, and a control room for sound. Live@Experience provides vocal artists, musicians, lighting engineers, sound engineers, and music video teams an environment to showcase their talents to music industry professionals and to the public.

A music performance hub, Live@Experience is central in providing live music to weekly industry guests, record labels, producers, talent scouts, teachers, aspiring talent and to the general public. Other aspects involved with live staging includes the hospitality and event management industries who will participate in the Live@Experience program. This brings together the whole live experience for the students, and people aspiring to enter the industry, the opportunity to be involved in a large-scale production, while gaining experience in their chosen fields – invaluable experience for employment opportunities. Three terms per year comprise a 10-week program and a final concert presentation night held at the end of each term. Each weekly event involves music industry professionals critiquing and providing guidance to the performers, sound and lighting teams, and the film and video teams building their talents toward the finale concert presentation night. Weekly events and concert nights will be streamed live live via the web. Audiences viewing the events will be able to support and rate the performances through an app.
